Finely ground pigment combined with high quality linseed oil used on canvas, linen and many other surfaces in the creation of fine art.

Etching, Intaglio

Process of covering a prepared metal plate, zinc or copper, with a petroleum layer that can be drawn into. This exposes the metal to an acid bath which creates lines that holds ink of any color while the immediate surface is wiped clean and the image left in the lines is transferred to paper by a hand press.

Drypoint

Drawing with a sharp pointed tool directly on the surface of a  metal plate leaving the bur to hold ink as well as the line and printed on a hand press with as little pressure as the image requires.

Monoprint

Painting on the smooth surface of a metal or lexan plate, using oil based printers ink, then transferring the image to paper on a hand press.

Woodcut

Creating an image on wood by cutting small lines and or carving out large areas, and then using a roller covering the surface with ink, and then transferring the image from the block to paper, creating the image.  

Reduction Woodcut

Creating an image on wood by cutting small lines and or carving out relatively larger areas, and then using a roller covering the surface with oil based printers ink, and then transferring the image from the block to paper. The process is repeated any number of times until the image is complete. 

Painting on clay slab with glazes and stains, and then high-fired in a kiln.
